The reference consists of senior experts representing various fields of nutrition science, both within and outside the Nordic countries. Their primary role is to provide support and advice to the working group in evaluating the draft NNR 5 recommendations. The reference group will also be consulted if experts in an expert group will disagree on the conclusions drawn from the scientific evidence. In such cases the working group will take the final decision after consultation with the reference group.
