EVALLER™ is a web-tool wherein you can electronically test (e-Testing) a protein’s potential allergenicity/cross-reactivity based on its amino acid sequence. The server is aimed at supporting toxicology/allergology risk assessors, plant breeders, producers of biopharmaceuticals and other specialists with an interest in IgE-mediated allergology, including molecular aspects thereof. It can perform the analysis automatically using a recently reported computational test procedure, which involves bioinformatics-type evaluation. EVALLER™ should be feasible for scanning purposes and as a key part of an integrated allergenicity assessment procedure.
The server provides graphical and textual outputs to facilitate interpretation of the results and, additionally, to help further inquiries on a query protein’s allergenic potential. For details on EVALLER™ operation and function, please consult the “How EVALLER™ works” (left panel) and “Essentials of EVALLER™” (right panel) documentations, respectively.
Acceptor windows (for pasting and uploading) are invoked by a mouse-click on either "e-Test allergenicity" (left panel) or on the EVALLER logotype.
Development of EVALLER™ has been conducted within a closely collaborating team, encompassing the following bodies:
